Stop wasting our money on doing the railway feasibility report ! You have done it many years ago !! Just build the Rowville Railway...did you see how bad the traffic is every single morning from 6am - 9am and 3pm - 6pm....just a short distance from Jells road to Stud Road can take you 1/2 hour to get there !! This is very annoying !! With such a high population in Rowville, Lysterfield areas....we deserved to have a railway running to ease the terrible traffic ...how long to we have to wait !! We have wait for decade already !! No more paper work just get on with the construction to boost up the construction economic !! We need more work, building railway can bring so many job opportunities....THINK !!!

Being a resident of Rowville for 10 years I cannot stress how much this is needed in the community – having to drive 20 mins to Glen-Waverley train station is ridiculous. (Dandenong station is just not an option. Rowville needs a rail transport iits a NEED not a wont! It would make such a massive difference, we have the space to do it and the suggested train stations are exactly what is needed! The proposed rail thru Mulgrave works as Mulgrave, Waverley Park (mirvac) have also increased in population just Rowville & lysterfield. It about time rowville is no new estate anymore its over 30 years we need RAIL.

Theres plently of land owned by the Quarry along side wellington road, there is plenty of space for an above ground station with parking and enough space for the train line then to either go up being a raised line, or go down turning into an underground railway. Theres also issues with wellington road during the morning as when many people are leaving to go to work and school, the trucks from the quarry are also filling up the road and congesting it. By installing this train line we can reduce congestion on wellington road. We COULD also install Light Rail from this station on quarry land at the end of napoleon road, then go down napoleon road and connect Rowville Train Station to Ferntree gully train station for easier access

While I think it is great we are talking about a new Rail Service, without change to the existing infrastructure we are just adding to a monster problem that will just get worst. Melbourne has 170 plus Level Crossings that effectively limit the train services that can go-exist with the road network!
Lets forget the spin that both sides of politics have given us - Our rail and Road system is third world in this regard. I recently had overseas visitors that got out of my car to take photo's of the trains moving at walking pace at Glen Iris, they thought it to be old world and hilarious!!
Building another line that has to exist with the Toorak, Carnegie, Murrumbeena, Hugesdale, Clayton and the massive Springvale Rd Level crossing problems will just add to the inevitable increase in grid lock!
We have spent Billions unwisely on thousands Primary Schools that most in the education system agree we could have done without; a good share of funds should have been directed to this challenge that no one can deny would of had far greater immediate and ongoing Economic benefit.
Our Level Crossing solutions could be what this State could use to get our economy moving. We should be looking at sites like Springvale Road as one of numerous examples where a 600m gradient on either side could be tendered on the basis that underground works are undertaken with the Private Sector in exchange for the rights to rebuild exciting Residential opportunities at ground level. This will also ease the shortage of metropolitan sites for housing.
Whether we like it or not Melbourne's future is to be a super city and without massive changes to our planning that will give us the opportunity to commute on train services that could run every few minutes. BAND AID solutions like the Rowville line or a Sydney fast train are a waste of resources we cannot afford!!!!
Start planning what could be decades of developments NOW please.

Electrification of public transport may increase pollution in the
Yallourn Valley.

Yallourn Valley, is a significant food production area.

I believe the quality of our land should be kept as clean as possible.

The alternative is food from China or other less than desirable
food producing countries.

THINK CAREFULLY.

Our government cannot guarantee and ensure the quality of imported foods.

TAKE THE BUS AND BREATH IN THE POLLUTION YOU CREATE.

MAYBE IT IS TIME TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR NEEDS.

The alternerative may be,
Is if our Local government officials
purchase coastal land on behalf of the residants of Knox and install wind power generators.
This may offset the electrical power needs
and maybe also lower our council rates as well.
